In the beginning there was a Mexico Brown Rover 2200 TC 1975. It had originally been Monza Red but someone had sprayed it Brown !

Bought as spares or repair for £175 in 1993 with a friend.
He paid for the car, I bought the tools ! (think I got the best deal)

It was bought without really knowing what it was, we were looking for a car to cut the roof off, and the P6 has the right lines. This example had four good wings and ran ok, so home it went to my friend's parents house.
On closer inspection the base unit was quite heavily rotten but we had experience of Morris Minors and Vauxhall Chevetts between us so we knew all about rot !

His father said "oh that'll make a nice restoration project" and then went on holiday for 2 weeks.
